Beach days are here and as I have become somewhat a local to the Jersey Shore, I have compiled my top things to do at New Jersey beaches! There are so many incredible spots to try out whether it be a deli for a beach sandwich or a surf shop for a new swimsuit! See below for my guide on top things to do in New Jersey!
Shopping and Activities
Long Branch Pier Village – has an array of of dining, workout spots and shops! Shopping includes retail stores, surf shops, an arcade and jewelry stores (Little Words is there too!)
Spring Lake Downtown – is the cutessttt downtown area! Has such amazing shopping including many cute boutiques as well as well known brands.
Bike Riding – rent bikes and ride along the water and neighborhoods!
Promenade/ boardwalks – take a walk down the boardwalks along the water, one of my favorite things to do.
Surfing lessons – many surf shops in the area like Bare Wires and Hammer Surf School!
Concerts at the Stone Pony – such a fun music venue in Asbury Park, has many amazing summer concerts!
Yoga on the beach/ rooftops – lots of different opportunities for yoga on the beach/ rooftops like beach yoga at the spring lake pavilion!
Beach Volleyball – get a group and play volleyball on the beach!
Food + Drinks
Rook – locations spanning from Freehold, Manaplan and Colts Neck, NJ! Coffee shop started by 2 friends with the sentiment of bringing people together through the link of coffee. They have amazing cold brew!
Booskerdoo – booskerdoo takes pride in roasting, packaging and shipping coffee all in the same day to maintain its freshness! They make up to 10 different coffees with organic options! Another one of my favorite coffee shops!
Asbury Park Roastery – specializes in freshly roasted coffee that is primarily fair-trade and organic! They have amazing coffee and pastries!
NOON – coffee spot with locations in Springlake and Bayhead! Other than offering coffee, their storefront also offers jewelry, home goods and accessories! Perfect spot to grab a cup of coffee and shop for a gift for a friend or yourself!
Port Coffee Roasters – another coffee shop that specializes in roasted to order coffee! Produces a rotating selection of small batch coffees to ensure its quality! located in Bayhead.
Maeberrie Market – located in Avon-by-the-sea. One of my favorite places to grab brunch/lunch (fries are to die for). Not only is the food delicious, but the aesthetics of this spot are 10/10. Also a great spot for AM coffee.
Cardinal Provisions – if you’re looking for delicious brunch/lunch, look no further! Indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of downtown and the food is so delicious. I love their New Mexico bowl and chicken sandwiches.
Seed to Sprout – sooo delicious! Everything made from whole foods, organic ingredients, purchased locally, whenever possible.
Franks Deli – and old school diner with great food! They serve everything from soups, salads, sandwiches as well as Italian and Mexican cuisine! Come hungry!!
Porta – relaxed and casual vibes for amazing Italian food – appetizers, pizza, pasta, desert! Has ourdoor seating with picnic tables – great for groups!
Taka – yummy sushi with a lengthy menu! Guaranteed to have something for everyone, lots of veg options!
Talula’s – serves brunch, lunch and cocktails! Soo many different pizzas offered as well as appetizers and deserts as well! Have an incredible vegan caesar!
Heirloom at St. Laurent – located in an upscale boutique hotel, Heirloom offers and incredible spot for drinks and/or lunch and dinner. Unbeatable atmosphere and service! You can also buy a day pass for a pool day!
The Columns – a classic seafood spot! Offers classics such as shrimp cocktail, lobster rolls, surf and turf and so much more! Great place for good music and drinks in the afternoon and at night (lines could be long depending on time)
Watermark – one of my favorite beach front rooftops! Upscale atmosphere and overlooks the boardwalk! Great for cocktails and small bites. In Asbury Park with ocean views + can see Stone Pony stage!
Avon Pavilion – offers a wide variety of breakfast and lunch option (such as salads, sannies and grilled goods!) Casual and on the beach!
Marina Grille – loveee marina grill! Located on Belmar’s marina on the bayside, they offer lunch/ dinner and drinks. Including a raw bar!
10th Ave Burrito – relaxed casual vibes for Mexican food! Have everything from appetizers, burritos and fajitas! Super yummy.
Dune Grass Cafe – brunch in Bayhead! Breakfast

spot! Great for a quick, casual, sit down bite.
Hoffmans – a classic NJ shore ice cream spot. One of my absolute favvorites! They also customize ice cream cakes if you call 3 days in advance!
