Easy 3 Minute Dessert

Few things get me out of bed in the morning like a fresh cup of coffee. Ever since getting my Nespresso machine, the process of making my morning coffee at home has become unbelievably easy and delicious. When I realized there was a way I could enjoy my Nespresso at night as well, I tried it immediately. An affogato is an Italian dessert made up of vanilla gelato (or ice cream) and a shot of espresso poured over top – aka my heaven. Extremely simple to make if you have an espresso machine (which I couldn’t recommend my Nespresso more). If you are interested in how to make an affogato, I have listed the recipe for you below!

Ingredients
  • 2 scoops vanilla gelato or ice cream of your choice
  • 1 shot espresso (I use the Nespresso Voltesso espresso capsule)
  • Cinnamon (optional – for garnish)
  • Cookie or biscuit (optional – for garnish)
Instructions
  1. Place two scoops of your ice cream of choice in a cup or bowl
  2. Make an espresso shot (I enjoy decaf at night!)
  3. Pour espresso shot over ice cream.
  4. Top with cinnamon and cookie! (optional)
