Every morning I walk on the treadmill and listen to music- sometimes pop… sometimes country… but then there are even times I spend the majority of my walk searching and just skipping through tons of songs because nothing is satisfying me. So while on the treadmill the other day, feeling incredibly frustrated by the song choices that were coming up, I thought to myself, “why the heck haven’t I even considered listening to podcasts?”
The only podcast I had ever listened to was about 4-5 years ago because my ex had been listening to it- Serial. Not going to lie, it made the 3 hour drive back and forth from NJ to MD go by really fast, but since then… haven’t opened the app!
So again, I’m on the treadmill, and I decide to open the app. The only recent podcast I had really heard about was The Good Life with Stevie and Sazan because I follow Sazan on IG (if you’re not, you MUST- she is just SO real, and such a role model for me in so many ways). I immediately look up their show and listen to “What FAITH means to us.”
Holy CRAP! Not only did time just fly by and miles just add up, but I felt so refreshed, renewed, inspired, fulfilled, whole, energized, and HAPPY! In that moment I realized that this is something I need to do every single day and incorporate as part of my morning routine (which I’m still trying to figure out btw).
Since the only podcast I had known of was that one ^^ I decided to ask Instagram. The responses were AMAZING (THANK YOU!!!!) and I really cannot wait to get into many of the recommended podcasts.
I’ve given myself some time to share these because I wanted to listen to a few before to give you my top selects so far. Just remember, I personally want to start my mornings with that feel good feeling, so I was drawn to the more inspirational podcasts!

Love these recs! Podcasts are life changing, and I’ve listened to almost all of these on your list! So glad you’re getting into them! I will admit though, I listen to the true crime ones the most hahah. For the 3rd bullet point on the crime list, is that one meant to be True Crime Garage?
Hi Kristle!! I’m so happy to hear that!! They seriously are, I can’t believe I went SO LONG without listening to them!!

I forgot to write Garage, I’ll change that now!! Thank you babe!!! I hope you enjoy it if you listen to it- I can’t get myself too deep into those, I get too scared and neurotic!! hahaha!!

Loved this post! Podcasts are the bomb, so glad I finally jumped on this band wagon LOL. I will definitely check out some of the ones you mentioned! Thanks 🙂 I also recommend Thick & Thin by Katy Bellotte, she talks about life in your twenties, working, love & relationships, confidence etc etc, it’s so inspiring and relatable!
For those who are in the medical field a crazy story is “Dr. Death”. I think I finished it in like 2 days on my car ride from Baltimore to Philadelphia.
