Being Happy

Maybe I’m crazy but being happy is kind of hard although it is completely free! WHY!! I don’t know why but I’m guilty of it too. For me, I used to think I had to do these grand things in life to be happy, pass that test with ___ grade, get that job, get into that school, make X amount of money by X age. It’s silly.

The past couple of months I’ve really been focusing on what makes me happy right now, in this moment, and developing it further. That’s when I fell into my love for photography.

I was always that friend (still am) that would be obnoxiously snapping away, asking my girlfriends to get closer for photos, taking those selfies, and asking them in turn to take a photo of me (it’s always like pulling teeth). Yeah… I absolutely loved taking photos even on my EN-V ha!

For my 16th birthday or somewhere around then, I asked for a DSLR and thank you mom and dad, I got one! I may have used it for a total of 3 weeks and then I barely touched it… sorry mom and dad…

BUT fast forward to fall 2016 when I’m contemplating where this life is taking me and what I’m meant to be doing, I fall back into my love for photography. I picked my dusty DSLR off the shelf, bought a pretty good lens (35mm) and began taking photos! I joined an amazing photography group Tuesday’s Together, created my business Viviane Audi Photography soon after, and the rest is history!

Just kidding… I’m a big work in progress. I have learned so much and I still have SO much to learn! You can never stop learning even if you tried!!

Moral of the story: if you want to do something, do it. And if you have no idea what you want to do, that’s OKAY! But take the plunge every day in experiencing and putting yourself out there to explore and find what you want. I know it’s so much easier said than done, trust me I know. But it’s so worth it to try, take baby steps, because you never know what can come from it. Also, get rid of those outrageous expectations and the fear. Being happy should be your greatest expectation. Everything will come as it should. Be patient and have faith.

Photography has given me so much happiness, happiness I was in search of. It has led me to meet so many amazing people that have become friends and supporters. I can’t wait to see where this hobby-turned-business will take me!

Mary Jean and Trevor

These two humans are so beautiful both on the outside and inside, and they have created an even more beautiful family. The following photographs were taken while Mary Jean was pregnant followed by a newborn session with their brand new angel, Reagan Marie!

I hope that this post inspires someone to just let go, believe in yourself, and do something that makes you happy.

xo,

Viv
