BYE 2017!

Happy Friday!!

Last Friday of 2017! I cannot believe that a whole year has come and gone. I always hear people saying “time flies” and I usually think yeah.. yeah.. okay.. not really… but holy crap I’m so wrong! TIME. FLIES.

I’m really at a loss of words to describe my 2017. I almost don’t want to let this year go because I have enjoyed it so much but I know 2018 will be even more amazing! This past year has been a year of growth for me, really in almost all aspects of life. It’s funny because if you had asked me on January 1, 2017 what I would do with my year, I probably would have giggled and then cried. In fact that’s exactly what I did. I didn’t know where this year would take me, especially when I felt  so lost and heartbroken over so many different things.

Little by little, 2017 made changes for the best. In 2017 I grew a backbone. I learned to love myself and trust in God. I learned that taking risks would benefit me more than just standing still. I contacted friends I hadn’t spoken to in months/years. I visited and explored states and cities I had never been to. I started connecting and sharing my thoughts and passions with others. I began living for me, selfishly but genuinely.

Reflecting on this past year overwhelms me with so many good and positive emotions. I’m going to write a New Year’s Resolution post next but for now I thought I’d share my three personal favorite blog posts I’ve written this year!

1. FAITH & PRAYER This is by far my favorite post. I was so nervous and hesitant to write such a personal blog post but my heart kept telling me to share it. After all, I started my blog for my own personal health and I wanted to be able to come back to this and read it myself. Take a minute to read this one- you can always work on your faith, no matter what it is you believe in!

2. BEING HAPPY  The reason I started this blog and my mantra of this year! My #1 goal of 2017 was to BE HAPPY, like genuinely happy! The most important lesson I’ve learned is to reflect and make sure you are surrounding your heart, mind, and body with what you know makes you happy.

3. WE ALL START SOMEWHERE My most recent blog post! While writing this post I felt like my own cheerleader and coach and that’s really how I’ve felt this year. I remind myself “we all start somewhere” daily, especially when I compare myself to other people. I know it’s something I (we) shouldn’t do, but it’s hard sometimes! This post just reminds me to continue cheering myself on and be kind to myself. ALSO be proud of what you’re accomplishing no matter how big or small!

I’m beyond excited and I can’t wait to see where 2018 takes me! I just want to say thank you so much for all your encouraging words and messages you’ve sent me since starting my blog, I really appreciate them more than you know!! Truly!!

See you in 2018!!

xo,

Viv
